  • 4 limes 4 limes Fresh limes for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup 1 cup sugar Adjust to taste; honey or agave syrup can be used as alternatives.
  • 4 cups 4 cups water Chilled water is recommended for a colder drink.
  • to taste ice Ice Serve over ice for a refreshing experience.
  • to drizzle Sweetened condensed milk (optional) For a creamy twist.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Rinse the limes under cold water.
  2. Cut the limes into quarters.
  3. In a blender, combine the lime wedges, sugar, and 2 cups of water. Blend until well mixed.
  4. Strain the mixture into a large pitcher using a fine mesh strainer to remove pulp and seeds.
  5. Add the remaining 2 cups of water and adjust sweetness if necessary. Serve immediately over ice.
  6. If desired, drizzle sweetened condensed milk over the top before serving.

Notes

Store any leftover limeade in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator for up to three days. Best enjoyed cold. Avoid reheating.
