Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup lemonade (or lemon juice and sugar to taste)
  • Ice cubes Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional) For garnishing

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the blueberries and water. Bring the mixture to a gentle boil over medium heat.
  2. Once it reaches a boil, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 5 minutes, or until the blueberries have burst and released their juices.
  3. Once the blueberries are ready, strain the mixture through a fine sieve to separate the blueberries from the juice, pressing down with the back of a spoon for maximum flavor extraction.
  4. In a pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice (or prepared lemonade) with the blueberry juice. Taste and adjust the sweetness as needed.
  5. Fill glasses with ice and pour the blueberry lemonade over the ice. Garnish with fresh mint leaves.

Notes

For best flavor, consider using fresh blueberries and adjust sweetness to personal preference. Can substitute with frozen blueberries if necessary.
