Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease an 8x8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
Make the Crust
- In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and flour. Stir until well combined.
- Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Make the Filling
- In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract to the mixture, beating until well incorporated.
- Gently fold in the fresh blueberries.
Combine and Bake
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust and spread evenly.
- Bake for about 30 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is slightly golden.
- A toothpick inserted should come out clean.
Cool and Serve
- Remove the dish from the oven and let it cool completely.
- Cut into bars and serve chilled.
Notes
For a lighter version, use low-fat cream cheese. Store in an airtight container for up to one week in the fridge or freeze for up to three months.
