  • 1 cup butter, melted Use unsalted butter for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup brown sugar Packed for best results.
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract Pure vanilla extract preferred.
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Can substitute with gluten-free flour.
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips or nuts (optional) You can also use dark chocolate or other toppings.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or line it with parchment paper.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Stir until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully incorporated.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  7. Gently fold in the white chocolate chips or nuts if using.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly.
  2. Bake in the oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cooling and Serving
  1. Let the Blondies cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  2. Once fully cooled, slice them into squares.

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. For freezing, wrap tightly and store for up to three months. Reheat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.
