Preparation
- Preheat the Blackstone Griddle: Start by heating your Blackstone griddle on medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.
- Cook the Meat: In a skillet on the griddle, add your ground beef or shredded chicken, seasoned with your choice of spices, and cook until browned and no longer pink for around 5-7 minutes.
- Prepare the Tortilla Chips: Spread a generous layer of tortilla chips on one side of the griddle.
- Add Beans and Meat: Once the meat is ready, sprinkle black beans over the chips and then add the cooked meat.
- Layer with Cheese: Generously sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top.
- Melt the Cheese: Close the griddle’s lid for about 5 minutes or until the cheese is melty and bubbly.
- Garnish: Remove nachos from the griddle and top with sliced jalapeños and chopped green onions.
- Serve: Serve hot with sides of sour cream, guacamole, and salsa.
Notes
For a vegetarian version, swap the meat with sautéed bell peppers and mushrooms. To store, refrigerate assembled nachos for up to three days or freeze without fresh toppings. Reheat in an oven at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
