  • 4 cups fresh arugula Washed and drained
  • 1 cup ripe blackberries Fresh and washed
  • 1 large avocado, chopped Ripe for creaminess
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced For added flavor
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese, crumbled (optional) Add for creaminess
Dressing Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Extra virgin preferred
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar Ensure it is halal compliant
  • to taste Salt and pepper For seasoning

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Wash the arugula and blackberries thoroughly. Drain the arugula and gently pat it dry.
  2. Chop the avocado and slice the red onion thinly.
Mixing the Salad
  1. In a large salad bowl, add the fresh arugula.
  2. Gently add the blackberries, chopped avocado, and sliced red onion over the arugula.
  3. If using feta cheese, sprinkle it on top.
Dressing and Serving
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and pepper.
  2. Pour the dressing over the salad, being careful not to overwhelm the delicate ingredients.
  3. Gently toss the salad together and serve immediately.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh; store in an airtight container for up to one day if needed. Dress the salad just before serving to maintain freshness.
