  • 1 can flaky biscuits Cut into quarters
  • 1 pound ground turkey or chicken sausage Ensure it's well-seasoned
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheese Cheddar is a classic choice
For seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
For garnish
  • Optional Fresh parsley For garnish

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Open the can of flaky biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters. Place them into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Cooking
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey or chicken sausage until thoroughly browned, breaking it into crumbles.
  2. Stir in the milk, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the sausage. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens slightly, about 4-5 minutes.
  3. Pour the sausage gravy mixture over the cut biscuits in the baking dish, ensuring an even distribution.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the gravy and biscuit layers.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the biscuits are cooked through.
Serving
  1. Remove the casserole from the oven, let it cool slightly, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve.

Notes

This casserole is great for leftovers; store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven, adding milk if needed.
