Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Open the can of flaky biscuits and cut each biscuit into quarters. Place them into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
Cooking
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground turkey or chicken sausage until thoroughly browned, breaking it into crumbles.
- Stir in the milk, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the sausage. Continue stirring until the mixture thickens slightly, about 4-5 minutes.
- Pour the sausage gravy mixture over the cut biscuits in the baking dish, ensuring an even distribution.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the gravy and biscuit layers.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and the biscuits are cooked through.
Serving
- Remove the casserole from the oven, let it cool slightly, garnish with fresh parsley if desired, and serve.
Notes
This casserole is great for leftovers; store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in the microwave or oven, adding milk if needed.
