  • ¼ cup Green onions (chopped) For a mild onion flavor
  • to taste Salt and pepper Adjust according to preference
  • Mixed greens (for serving) Optional base for the salad

Method

Preparation
  1. If using fresh crab meat, ensure it's cooked and shredded. If using canned, drain it well.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice. Stir well until the mixture is smooth.
  3. Toss in the diced celery, red bell pepper, and chopped green onions into the bowl. Mix them into the dressing.
  4. Gently fold the crab meat into your vegetable mixture, being careful not to break up the crab too much.
  5. Sprinkle with salt and pepper and give it one last gentle mix.
  6. Serve your crab salad over a bed of mixed greens or in a bowl.

Notes

For best flavor, let the salad chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving. You can add ingredients like diced cucumbers or avocados for extra texture and taste.
