Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine canned pumpkin, vegetable oil, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture, stirring gently until just combined, being careful not to overmix.
  5. Fold in chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  6. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, spreading it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake in preheated oven for 60-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  2. Remove from oven and let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Use fresh baking powder and soda for best results. Store tightly wrapped in plastic or an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze slices for longer storage.
