  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce Use one for marinating the beef.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced (or ginger paste)
Vegetables
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (bell peppers, broccoli, and snap peas) Chop into bite-sized pieces.
Cooking Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil For stir frying.
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce (or vegetarian substitute)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil Drizzle for flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For Serving (Optional)
  • Cooked rice or noodles To serve alongside the stir fry.

Method

Preparation
  1. Slice the beef into thin strips, about ΒΌ inch thick.
  2. Chop your vegetables into bite-sized pieces.
Marinating
  1. In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Let it marinate for about 10-15 minutes.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet or wok, add the vegetable oil and heat over medium-high heat.
  2. Once the oil is hot, add the marinated beef to the pan in a single layer. Sear for about 2-3 minutes without stirring to brown the beef. Flip and cook for another minute until fully cooked, then remove from the pan.
  3. In the same pan, add the mixed vegetables and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until bright and tender-crisp.
  4. Return the beef to the pan, pour in the remaining soy sauce and oyster sauce, and drizzle sesame oil around the pan. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
Serving
  1. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and pepper if needed. Serve hot over cooked rice or noodles.

Notes

For the tenderest beef, slice against the grain. Prep everything first for a quick cooking process. Customize your veggies as desired. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in a skillet or microwave with a splash of water or soy sauce.
