- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned completely, breaking it apart with a spoon. This should take about 5–7 minutes.
- Once the beef is cooked, stir in the diced vegetables and cook for an additional 5 minutes, allowing them to soften and mingle with the beef.
- Sprinkle the taco seasoning over the beef and vegetables. Add a splash of water (about ¼ cup) to help distribute the seasoning evenly. Stir well and let it simmer for about 3-5 minutes.
- While the beef mixture is simmering, place your taco shells in the oven according to package instructions or warm them up in a skillet for a few seconds to make them extra crispy.
Assembly
- Once everything is ready, take your taco shell and fill it with the beef-vegetable mixture. Top with shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, sour cream, and salsa.
