Preparation
- Start by slicing your beef, bell peppers, and onion. Ensure they are all ready to go for a smooth cooking process.
Cooking
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Once hot, add the thinly sliced beef. Season with salt and pepper and stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes, or until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of olive oil. Toss in the sliced onion and bell peppers. Stir-fry for about 3-5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender and slightly crisp.
- Return the beef to the skillet, then add the minced garlic and soy sauce. Mix everything together, cooking for another 2 minutes for the flavors to meld.
- Spoon the beef and vegetable mix over the cooked rice in individual bowls. Garnish with sliced green onions for a fresh touch.
Notes
You can easily swap the beef for chicken or turkey if you prefer a different protein while keeping the dish halal. Avoid overcrowding the pan when cooking the beef to ensure even browning. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
