Method
Cooking the Noodles
- Begin by boiling a pot of salted water and cooking the lo mein noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
Preparing the Beef
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the vegetable oil. Once hot, add the sliced beef. Season with salt and pepper. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
Sautéing the Vegetables
- In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if necessary, then throw in the minced garlic, sliced bell pepper, and broccoli florets. Stir-fry for around 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are tender yet still vibrant.
Combining All Ingredients
- Return the beef to the skillet, then add the cooked lo mein noodles. Pour in the soy sauce and oyster sauce, tossing everything to coat well. Heat for an additional 2-3 minutes until everything is warmed through.
Serving
- Plate your Beef and Broccoli Noodles, garnishing with fresh green onions. Enjoy!
Notes
For substitutions, feel free to swap out the beef for chicken or tofu—just ensure they're Halal-friendly. Prep your vegetables and sauces ahead of time to make cooking quick and efficient. Avoid overcooking the vegetables to maintain their crispness.
