Preparation
- Start by prepping your ingredients. Dice your onion and rinse the black beans.
Cooking
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef. Season it with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and cumin.
- Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
- Once the beef is cooked, add in the rinsed black beans and diced onions. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes until the onions become soft.
Assembly
- Lay a tortilla flat on a plate and spoon a portion of the beef and bean mixture in the center. Top with shredded cheese.
- Fold the sides of the tortilla inward and then roll it up from the bottom to the top. Repeat with the remaining tortillas and filling.
- For an extra touch, you can place the wrapped burritos back into the skillet and toast them until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side.
Serving
- Serve your burritos warm, complimented by sour cream and salsa on the side.
