Ingredients

Bread and Spreads
  • 2 slices Whole Wheat or White Bread
  • 2 tablespoons Almond Butter or Creamy Peanut Butter Substitute with sunflower seed butter for nut-free
Fruits
  • 1 Banana Sliced
  • 1/4 cup Blueberries
  • 1/4 cup Sliced Strawberries
Extras
  • Honey or Maple Syrup For drizzling (optional)
  • Mini Chocolate Chips A handful (optional)

Method

Preparation
  1. Toast the slices of bread to your desired crispiness, aiming for a golden-brown color that will serve as the bear’s face.
  2. Spread a generous layer of almond butter (or your preferred spread) over each slice, ensuring it’s evenly coated.
  3. For the ears, place two banana slices on top of the toast.
  4. Use blueberries for the eyes—just a couple placed side by side.
  5. For the snout, add a banana slice in the center and use mini chocolate chips to create a nose.
  6. Scatter sliced strawberries around the entire toast to create a colorful bear fur effect.
  7. If you’re feeling extra indulgent, drizzle honey or maple syrup over your creation.
  8. Serve on a plate and watch your kids’ eyes light up!

Notes

Substitutions can be made for nut allergies with sunflower seed butter. Assemble ingredients right after toasting the bread for the best crunch. Store ingredients separately in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
