Preparation
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, heavy cream, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
- Cover the bowl and chill the mixture in the refrigerator for about 1 hour.
Churning
- Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn until it reaches soft-serve consistency, about 20-25 minutes.
Freezing
- Transfer the churned ice cream into an airtight container, sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers on top, seal, and freeze for at least 4 hours.
Serving
- Scoop out the ice cream and enjoy! Top with additional crushed wafers or fresh banana slices if desired.
Notes
Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. To soften before serving, let it sit at room temperature for 5-10 minutes.
