Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grease an 8x8 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas and melted butter. Stir until well blended.
- Mix in the brown sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until the mixture is creamy and glossy.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the banana mixture. Gradually add the flour and cocoa powder, stirring just until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, slice them into squares and enjoy!
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for added indulgence. You can also drizzle with chocolate or caramel sauce.
