Ingredients
  

For the French Toast
  • 4 slices slices of your favorite bread (Challah or brioche works beautifully) Choose thicker slices for best results.
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 ripe banana sliced Use ripe bananas for sweetness.
  • 1 cup mixed berries (such as strawberries, blueberries, or raspberries) Fresh berries work best.
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon Add a pinch of nutmeg for a unique twist.
  • 1 tbsp Butter or oil for cooking Butter for richer flavor.
  • to taste Maple syrup for serving
  • optional Powdered sugar (for garnish) Use as desired for presentation.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and cinnamon until well blended.
  2. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture for a few seconds on each side, ensuring it's well coated.
Cooking
  1. In a large skillet or griddle over medium heat, add a tablespoon of butter or oil. Allow it to melt and get slightly bubbly.
  2. Place the soaked bread slices into the skillet. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
Serving
  1. Once the French toast is cooked, top it with sliced bananas and mixed berries. Feel free to be generous!
  2. Serve warm, drizzled with maple syrup and dusted with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in a toaster or skillet.
