Ingredients

For the Marinade
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons honey Maple syrup can be used as an alternative.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs Feel free to substitute with fresh herbs.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
For the Chicken
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Method

Preparation
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, honey, minced garlic, Italian herbs, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring it's well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish.
  3. Allow the chicken to marinate in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours (or up to overnight for maximum flavor).
Cooking
  1. Preheat your grill, skillet, or oven to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the chicken from the marinade (discard the marinade). Cook the chicken for about 6-7 minutes per side or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  3. Remove from heat, let rest for a few minutes, and slice. Serve warm with your favorite sides!

Notes

For best results, marinate chicken for at least 4 hours or overnight. Store any leftover chicken in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
