  • 4 pieces ripe pears, halved and cored Use ripe, firm pears like Bosc or Anjou.
  • 1 cup feta cheese, crumbled Alternatives include goat cheese or vegan feta.
  • 1/2 cup honey Drizzle generously over the pears.
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/4 cup walnuts (optional) Can be substituted for pecans or almonds.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional) Add for warmth and flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Wash and halve the pears, removing the seeds and creating a hollow center.
  3. Spoon crumbled feta cheese into the hollows of each pear.
  4. Sprinkle dried cranberries into the center alongside the feta and top with chopped walnuts if using.
  5. Drizzle honey generously over each filled pear.
  6. Sprinkle a light dusting of ground cinnamon on top of each pear if desired.
  7. Place the prepared pears in a baking dish and cover with foil.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes or until the pears are tender.
  9. Remove from the oven, let them cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

Store uneaten baked pears in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes.
