Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully cut the peaches in half and remove the pits. Place the peach halves in a baking dish, cut-side up.
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon. Optionally, add a pinch of nutmeg for extra flavor.
- Generously sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture over each peach half. Add a small pat of butter on the center of each peach.
Baking
- Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the peaches are tender and golden.
Serving
- Remove the peaches from the oven and allow to cool slightly. Serve warm, optionally drizzled with honey or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Notes
For perfect Baked Peaches, ensure peaches are ripe and juicy, and don’t overbake for the best texture. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-5 days, reheating at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
