  • 4 pieces peaches, halved and pitted Choose ripe but firm peaches for optimal results.
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar Can be substituted with honey or maple syrup if desired.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons butter Place a small piece on top of each peach half.
  • Vanilla ice cream (for serving) For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully halve the peaches and remove the pits without damaging the fruit. Lay them cut-side up in a baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Sprinkle the brown sugar-cinnamon mix generously over each peach half.
  5. Place a small piece of butter on top of each peach half.
Baking
  1. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and let the peaches bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until they’re fork-tender.
Serving
  1. Remove the peaches from the oven and let them cool slightly.
  2. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes or microwave for 1-2 minutes.
