Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully slice each peach in half and remove the pit. Optionally, you can peel them, but leaving the skin on adds texture.
- Arrange the halved peaches on a baking dish, cut side up.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar and cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over each peach half.
- Place a small piece of butter on top of each peach half.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until the peaches are tender and the sugar is bubbly.
- Once baked, let the peaches cool slightly before serving. Top with vanilla ice cream if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. To reheat, use the oven, not the microwave. For long-term storage, freeze baked peaches for up to two months.
