  • 4 pieces ripe peaches Select ripe peaches for the best texture.
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar Can substitute with white sugar, honey, or maple syrup.
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon butter Add a small cube on top of each peach half.
  • as needed scoop Vanilla ice cream For serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Slice the peaches in half and remove the pits. Lightly score the flesh with a knife if desired.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together.
  4. Place the peach halves cut-side up in a baking dish. Sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over them and add a small cube of butter on top.
Baking
  1. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, until tender and bubbly.
Serving
  1. Let the baked peaches cool for a moment and serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven or microwave.
