Ingredients
  

Pastry Ingredients
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought) Thawed if frozen
  • 1/2 cup Nutella Chocolate hazelnut spread
  • 1 large egg For egg wash
  • to taste Powdered sugar For dusting before serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Lay out your puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and allow it to come to room temperature.
Shaping the Turnovers
  1. Cut the pastry into squares, around 4 inches by 4 inches.
  2. Place about 1 tablespoon of Nutella in the center of each square, being careful not to overfill.
  3. Fold the pastry over to create a triangle and press the edges with a fork to seal.
Baking
  1. Beat the egg in a small bowl and brush a thin layer over the top of each turnover.
  2. Place the turnovers on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden and puffed.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and let cool for a couple of minutes, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze before baking for up to 2 months. Reheat in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
