Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 medium-sized russet potatoes, washed and sliced into wedges Choose uniform sizes for even cooking.
  • ¼ cup olive oil Extra virgin olive oil recommended for flavor.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances the flavor.
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese Use fresh or grated cheese for best taste.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Optional for added flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Enhances the garlic flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped For garnish; adds freshness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  2. Wash and slice the russet potatoes into wedges. Thicker wedges will be fluffier; thinner will be crispier, so choose based on your preference.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together the olive oil, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Add the potato wedges to the bowl and toss them in the garlic-Parmesan mixture until well-coated.
Baking
  1. Spread the wedges in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they are not overcrowded for even baking.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Once done, remove from the oven, sprinkle with fresh parsley, and serve the wedges warm.

Notes

For a balance meal, pair these wedges with grilled chicken, burgers, or sandwiches. Consider dipping sauces like ranch or spicy aioli for a flavorful twist.
