Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut into 3-inch squares.
Assembly
- Place each square into a parchment-lined muffin tin or baking sheet.
- Add a small cube of brie to the center and top with about 1 teaspoon of cranberry sauce.
- Gently bring the corners together to form little parcels or leave them open for a more rustic look.
- Press lightly to seal.
Baking
- Whisk the egg and brush it lightly over the tops for a shiny, golden finish.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until puffed and beautifully golden.
Serving
- Cool for a few minutes, then top with fresh thyme and a sprinkle of sea salt.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
Keep the puff pastry cold for better results. You can swap cranberry sauce for fig jam or raspberry preserves for variation. Bake just before serving for the best taste.
