Creamy Sauce Ingredients
  • 1 cup sour cream Greek yogurt can be used as a substitute.
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped Use fresh for the best flavor.
  • 1 piece Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 piece Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 clove garlic, minced

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Rinse the cod fillets under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in a baking dish and drizzle with olive oil. Season with salt and pepper.
Making the Sauce
  1. In a separate bowl, combine sour cream, chopped dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, and minced garlic. Mix well.
Baking
  1. Pour the creamy sauce over the cod fillets, ensuring they are well-coated. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven and serve immediately, garnished with more fresh dill, if desired.

Use fresh dill and lemons for the best flavor. Check for doneness after 15 minutes; fish should be opaque and flake with a fork. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days, or freeze for up to a month.
