  • 1/2 none Juice of lemon To enhance flavor and prevent browning.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Toast the bread slices to your desired crispiness.
  2. Cut the ripe avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop its flesh into a bowl. Mash it with a fork to your desired creaminess.
  3. Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into the mashed avocado and mix in salt and pepper to taste.
Assembly
  1. Spread the mashed avocado generously onto your toasted bread.
  2. Add optional toppings such as sliced tomato, radish, or a poached egg.
  3. Plate up and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use whole grain or sourdough bread. Store leftover avocado mash in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed on the surface to prevent browning. If reheating leftover toast, use a toaster oven for best results.
