  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder Unsweetened is recommended for a rich chocolate flavor.
  • 1/2 cup flour All-purpose flour works best.
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Adds a nice flavor depth.
  • 2 large eggs For vegan option, replace with flax eggs or applesauce.

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, mash your ripe avocados until smooth.
  3. Add the sugar, cocoa powder, flour, baking soda, salt, and vanilla extract to the bowl. Mix until just combined.
  4. Crack the eggs into the mixture and stir until the batter is smooth.
  5. Grease an 8x8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  6. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  8. Allow the brownies to cool before cutting them into squares.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage. To enjoy frozen brownies, thaw in the refrigerator overnight or microwave for a few seconds.
