Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium-sized saucepan, combine the milk, vegetable oil, and eggs. Stir thoroughly and heat over medium until it begins to boil. Be careful not to let it boil over!
- Remove the saucepan from the heat, and slowly stir in the tapioca flour, salt, and baking powder until it forms a thick dough.
- Once your dough is at room temperature, mix in the grated cheese until it’s evenly distributed throughout.
- Use your hands to shape the dough into small balls, about the size of golf balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffy.
- Enjoy them warm straight from the oven.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. For freezing, ensure they cool completely before placing in a freezer-friendly bag; they can be frozen for up to a month. To reheat, place them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10 minutes.
