Preparation
- Preheat the Grill: Get your grill heated to medium-high.
- Prepare the Cheese: Take the provolone cheese and carefully place it on a heatproof dish or an aluminum foil-lined pan.
- Drizzle and Season: Lightly drizzle olive oil over the top of the cheese. Sprinkle the oregano and chili flakes evenly across the surface.
- Grill It: Place your prepared dish on the grill. Cover it and let the cheese cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until it starts to bubble and ooze.
- Serve Immediately: Remove it from the grill and serve hot with chunks of bread for dipping.
Notes
Substitutions: Use other melting cheeses if provolone isn’t available. Timing is key to avoid an overflow of cheese. Avoid rushing the grilling for the perfect texture. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for 2-3 days and reheated gently.
