  • 1 count pre-made pizza crust store-bought or homemade
For the Filling
  • 4 medium-sized apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp) peeled and sliced
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
For the Topping
  • 3/4 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Optional Garnish
  • chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts or pecans)
  • ice cream or whipped cream for serving

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Place your pre-made pizza crust on a baking sheet or pizza stone, allowing it to come to room temperature.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss until well coated.
Assembling and Baking
  1. Evenly spread the apple mixture over the pizza crust.
  2. In another bowl, combine rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, melted butter, and salt. Mix until it resembles a crumbly topping.
  3. Sprinkle the oat mixture over the apple layer.
  4. Place the pizza in the preheated oven and bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are bubbling.
  5. Allow it to cool for about 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Serving
  1. Serve warm, garnished with chopped nuts and with a scoop of ice cream or whipped cream if desired.

Notes

For gluten-free options, consider using a gluten-free pizza crust and substituting some of the flour with almond flour. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat slices in the oven for a few minutes to regain crispiness.
