Ingredients
  

Vegetables
  • 2 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup red cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, grated
  • 2 units apples, cored and chopped Consider using Granny Smith for tartness or Fuji for sweetness.
Dressing
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Can substitute with Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey Agave syrup can be used for a vegan version.
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Finely shred the green and red cabbage, and grate the carrots. Set aside in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Core and chop the apples into bite-sized pieces.
Make the Dressing
  1. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Whisk until smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
Combine and Serve
  1. Pour the dressing over the cabbage, carrots, and apples. Toss until well-coated.
  2. Chill in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to mingle.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two days. Avoid overcrowding the dressing to maintain crunchiness.
