Preparation

- In another bowl, beat the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with sour cream until just combined.
- Gently fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.
Baking
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan, smoothing it out evenly.
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
Glazing
- While the cake is baking, whisk together the powdered sugar and apple cider until smooth.
- Once the cake is cool, pour the apple cider glaze over the top and let it drizzle down the sides.
