Frosting Base
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature Butter should be at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 4 cups powdered sugar Sifted to ensure a lighter texture.
  • 1/4 cup almond milk (or regular milk) Add more if needed for consistency.
  • 1 teaspoon almond extract Adjust to taste.
  • 1 pinch salt Balances sweetness.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened unsalted butter on medium speed until it’s light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Gradually sift in the powdered sugar, about one cup at a time, mixing on low speed until incorporated.
  3. Add the almond milk, almond extract, and a pinch of salt to the mixture. Beat on medium speed until the frosting is creamy and smooth.
  4. Taste the frosting and adjust the flavor by adding more almond extract if desired.
Frosting
  1. Use a spatula or piping bag to frost your favorite cakes, cupcakes, or cookies.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. For longer storage, freeze and thaw as needed.
