Preparation
- Pat the steaks dry with a paper towel to achieve a crispy exterior.
- Rub both sides of each steak with olive oil, and season generously with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Optionally sprinkle some herbs.
Cooking
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
- Place the steaks in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Cook for 10-15 minutes, flipping halfway through for even cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer to check for doneness: about 130°F (54°C) for medium-rare and 140°F (60°C) for medium.
Serving
- Let the steaks rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing to allow juices to redistribute.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for optimal texture.
