Preparation
- If using refrigerated dough, let it come to room temperature for about 15 minutes while preheating your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly flour a flat surface, and roll out your pizza dough to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut the dough into circles approximately 5-6 inches in diameter.
Filling and Assembly
- Place a tablespoon of tomato sauce in the center of each dough circle. Top with a few slices of pepperoni and a generous sprinkle of shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Carefully fold the dough over the filling, creating a half-moon shape. Press the edges together to seal tightly. You can crimp the edges with a fork for added security.
Cooking
- Lightly brush the tops of the pockets with olive oil to achieve a golden-brown finish.
- Place the prepared pizza pockets in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and let them cool for a minute. Serve with extra tomato sauce for dipping.
Notes
For best results, ensure sealing is tight to prevent filling leakage. Storing: Keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 5 minutes.
