Method

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, bring 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, and 2 tablespoons of sugar to a gentle boil. Stir occasionally until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Once boiled, remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Let the dough cool for a few minutes, and then transfer it to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  5. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Pipe strips of dough (about 4 inches long) into the basket, making sure to leave some space between each piece.
  6. Air fry the churros for about 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through until they are golden brown and crisp.
  7. Once done, remove the churros from the basket and toss them in cinnamon sugar immediately to coat.
  8. Serve warm, and may the smiles be plentiful!

Notes

Dough consistency should be well-mixed but not too sticky. For storing, keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days or freeze for up to a month. Reheat in air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
