Method
Preparation
- Start by cutting the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces for quick cooking.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, sesame oil, garlic powder, ground ginger, and cornstarch. Whisk until well-blended.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade. Ensure every piece is well-coated. Let it marinate for about 10 minutes for extra flavor.
- While the chicken marinates, preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
Cooking
- Place the marinated chicken in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded.
- Cook for about 10-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through for even browning.
- In the last minute of cooking, sprinkle sesame seeds over the chicken and let them crisp up.
Serving
- Once done, garnish with chopped green onions and serve warm over steamed rice or alongside a fresh veggie stir-fry.
Notes
Ensure you’re not overcrowding the air fryer basket for best results. For storing, use an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze in a freezer-safe bag for up to 2 months. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.
