Ingredients

For the Cake
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Substituting with dark chocolate chips can enhance flavor.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour Sift before incorporating into the mixture.
  • 1 pinch salt

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (approximately 193°C).
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the unsalted butter and semi-sweet chocolate chips. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring in between until melted and smooth.
  3. Stir in the powdered sugar until well combined, resulting in a thick and creamy mixture.
  4. Add the eggs and egg yolks, whisking until fully incorporated. Add vanilla extract.
  5. Sift in the all-purpose flour and a pinch of salt, then gently fold until just combined.
  6. Grease ramekins or small oven-safe bowls with butter or non-stick spray. Distribute the batter evenly, filling about 3/4 full.
Cooking
  1. Place the molds in the air fryer basket and cook at 380°F for 10-12 minutes, monitoring closely for soft centers.
  2. Once baked, let them cool for a minute. Invert onto plates to allow molten chocolate to ooze out before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm in the air fryer at 300°F for 5 minutes.
