Ingredients

Main ingredients
  • 4 pieces chicken thighs Use bone-in, skin-on for best results.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Can substitute with other oils if preferred.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Method

Preparation
  1. Start by patting the chicken thighs dry with paper towels—this will help to achieve that perfect crispiness.
Seasoning
  1. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Toss the chicken thighs in this mixture until they are evenly coated.
Preheat the Air Fryer
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (205°C) for about 5 minutes. This step is crucial for achieving that deliciously crisp outer layer.
Cooking
  1. Place the seasoned chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook for 18-20 minutes, flipping them halfway through to ensure even cooking.
Check for Doneness
  1. Use a meat thermometer to ensure the chicken thighs reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). If needed, continue cooking in 2-minute increments until done.
Serving
  1. Once cooked to perfection, remove from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

If you have leftovers, store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For freezing, use a freezer-friendly bag/container for up to 3 months. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 5-7 minutes.
