  • 2 large flour tortillas (halal-friendly)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese Use cheddar or gouda for alternative flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional) For garnish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) to ensure even cooking.
Garlic Butter Mix
  1. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and garlic powder until well mixed.
Tortilla Preparation
  1. Lay out the tortillas and brush one side of each with the garlic butter mixture.
Cheese Layer
  1. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on the unbuttered side of one tortilla and add any desired additional toppings.
Assemble
  1. Place the second tortilla on top, buttered side out, and gently press down.
Air Frying
  1. Place the tortilla sandwich in the air fryer basket and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and the cheese has melted, flipping halfway through.
Serve
  1. Remove from the air fryer, let sit for a minute, then slice into wedges and sprinkle with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

To store leftovers, wrap tightly and refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F (175°C) for 3-5 minutes.
