Method
Assembling the Dip
- Start with a serving dish or a glass bowl. Spread the refried beans evenly at the bottom.
- Spoon guacamole gently over the beans and use a spatula to smooth it out.
- Add sour cream atop the guacamole layer. Optionally mix in taco seasoning.
- Spoon salsa in an even layer, taking care not to disrupt the layers below.
- Sprinkle shredded lettuce over the salsa, followed by diced tomatoes.
- Add a layer of shredded cheese for creaminess.
- If using, sprinkle sliced black olives on top as garnish.
- Serve the dip with tortilla chips for dipping.
Notes
Assemble the layers right before serving for optimal freshness. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2-3 days. Enjoy chilled or experiment with a warm dip twist.
