Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 3 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon instant yeast
Wet Ingredients
  • 1 cup warm water (around 110°F)
  • 1 tablespoon honey or agave syrup Can substitute with maple syrup or coconut sugar.
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, salt, and instant yeast. Mix well to incorporate.
  2. In a separate bowl, warm the water and stir in the honey until it’s dissolved.
  3. Add the warm water mixture to the dry ingredients along with the olive oil. Mix until it forms a dough.
  4. Transfer the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Rising
  1. Place the dough in a lightly greased bowl, cover with a clean towel, and let it rise in a warm area for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  2. Punch down the dough, shape it into a loaf, and place it in a greased loaf pan. Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
Baking
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Bake the loaf for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped.
  3. Remove the bread from the oven, let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, and then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and serve!

Notes

Ensure adequate rising time for fluffy texture and store in an airtight container for freshness. Can be frozen for up to 3 months.
