Main Ingredients
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup sugar Adjust according to taste.
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method

Preparation
  1. Hull the strawberries by removing the green tops and any blemished areas, then wash them in cold water.
  2. In a blender, combine the hulled strawberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice. Blend until completely smooth.
  3. Taste the mixture and adjust sweetness by adding more sugar if desired. Blend again if you make adjustments.
  4. Pour the mixture into an airtight container and place it in the freezer for about 2 hours, or until partially frozen.
  5. After it has set, use a fork to scrape and fluff the sorbet, ensuring a light and airy texture. Return it to the freezer for another 2 hours, or until firm.
  6. Scoop out servings and optionally dress them with your favorite toppings.

Notes

For a mixed-berry sorbet, experiment with other berries like blueberries or raspberries while maintaining the same ratios. Ensure that you fluff your sorbet after the initial freeze to prevent ice crystals.
