Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and granulated sugar together until smooth and creamy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly in the bottom of the greased baking dish.
- Pour the lemon pie filling over the cream cheese layer, spreading it gently to cover it entirely.
- Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the lemon layer. Do not mix.
Baking
- Bake the cake for about 30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For an extra touch, consider adding whipped cream or fresh berries before serving. The cake can be stored in the refrigerator for about 3-4 days. For longer storage, freeze individual slices separated by parchment paper.
