Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). This ensures an even bake and a beautiful golden color.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the Halal sausage until it’s browned and thoroughly cooked. Break it up with a spatula as it cooks for an even texture. Drain excess grease if necessary.
- Open the package of crescent roll dough and lay it out flat on a clean surface. Pinch the seams together to create a solid sheet of dough.
- Spread the cooked sausage evenly over the dough. Sprinkle the shredded cheese and chopped green onions on top.
- Starting from one side, carefully roll the dough into a log shape. Use a sharp knife to slice the log into 1-inch pinwheels.
- Place the pinwheels on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
- Let them cool slightly, then serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce or on their own!
Notes
For perfect pinwheels, make sure to pinch any seams tightly and roll the dough evenly without leaving gaps. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
