Preparation
- If using fresh strawberries, wash them thoroughly. If using frozen, thaw them.
- Remove the stems from the strawberries and slice them into small pieces.
Blending
- In a food processor, combine the strawberries, oats, and protein powder.
- Blend until the mixture is thick and sticky, stopping to scrape down the sides if needed.
Forming the Balls
- Use your hands to roll small amounts of the mixture into balls about 1 inch in diameter.
- If the mixture is too crumbly, add a splash of water or a drizzle of honey to bind it.
Chilling
- Place the formed balls on a plate and refrigerate for about 30 minutes to firm up.
Enjoying
- Once chilled, your protein balls are ready to be enjoyed! Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
Notes
For variations, try different flavors of protein powder or add almond/peanut butter. Preparing the day before enhances the flavors.
