Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 lemons 3 lemons Fresh lemons for juicing
  • 1 cup 1 cup sugar Granulated sugar
  • 2 cups 2 cups water Regular water

Method

Preparation
  1. Roll the lemons on your kitchen counter to help release their juices, cut them in half, and juice them until you have about 1 cup of fresh lemon juice.
Making Sugar Syrup
  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the 1 cup of sugar and 2 cups of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar fully dissolves. Allow it to cool.
Combining Ingredients
  1. Once the sugar syrup has cooled, mix in the freshly squeezed lemon juice and stir well to combine.
Chilling and Freezing
  1. Pour the mixture into a shallow dish and place it in the freezer. After about 30 minutes, take it out and stir with a fork to break up any ice crystals. Repeat this process every 30 minutes until the sorbet is fully frozen and light and fluffy—about 2-3 hours total.
Serving
  1. Scoop your delightful 3 Ingredient Lemon Sorbet into bowls or cones, and if you like, add a sprig of mint or a few berries for a lovely presentation.

Notes

Store in an airtight container in the freezer for 1-2 weeks. Let sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving if too hard to scoop.
